Charlotte W.  Cohoon
AUBURN- Charlotte W. (Millay) Cohoon, 79, of Auburn, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, daughter of the late Philip and Alberta G. (Curtis) Millay. Charlotte graduated from Auburn High School in 1955. She lived in Auburn for 69 years before moving to Millbury in 2006.

Charlotte worked in banking field and was as a banker of over 27 years for many banks including, 1st Federal, Freedom Federal, Northeast, Shawmut and Fleet before she retired in 1998. Charlotte was a faithful member of the First Congregational Church of Auburn. She enjoyed spending time with her family; she loved entertaining and was the most gracious hostess. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking and spending time on Cape Cod.

Her husband of 28 years, Foster A. Cohoon died in 2002. She leaves her loving family, a daughter, Laurie L. Weidman and her husband, Jon of Holliston; two sons, Scott P. Hemming and his wife, Pamela and Bruce B. Hemming and his wife, Carol all of Webster; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren,; a sister, Caroline Gilbert of CT; a brother, Philip Millay of Florida; her former husband, Robert Hemming of Millbury; nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. A sister, Barbara Gallagher predeceased her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Charlotte’s family on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral celebrating her life will be on Tuesday at 10 AM at the First Congregational Church, 128 Central Street, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
