I just want everyone to know how strong my Mom was through her battle, from beginning to end. I remember the day we sat with the Dr. and he told her the bad news. When the Dr. left she collected her thoughts, and she says "we'll get through this" and starts singing Pat Benetar " Hit me with your best Shot", pumping her fist! Only those who knew my Mom can picture her doing this. She is my #1 hero, I am so luckey to have known her.

To Betty's family, I loved her so much. She was Jan's freind, so I was lucky to see her often, especially during our younger years. I loved when I got to see her whenever it was. Always in a great mood, laughing and making yhou happy. You were all so lucky to have her. Even though I didn't see her often, I will still miss her. God be with you Betty, and all of you.. Your all in my prayers. Love and Peace to all of you.

Here is a poem I've decided to write for you Mom

At a time that I wish your pain to be gone

“This too shall pass” you would always tell me

when I would worry or fret

“It will all work out in the end”, you would reassure me

Mom I've learned so much from our many good talks that we had, my biggest supporter and fan

You would fill me with confidence, and made me believe that I can

You were always at your best when time for a pep talk

And with my spirit always lifted away I would walk

You've taught me so much, too much to write down

Whether by words or by example my kids will carry down

When I was little you would sing to me, You are my Sunshine, yes I still remember

Then read me a story, and tuck me in so tender

You let me in your bed when I was afraid of the dark at night,

so safe & secure I felt…..

You then warmed my cold feet between your thighs tight

The thing I know the most is that you always came through

“I’ll be right there!”

No matter how inconvenient for you

The first thing I see mom when I think of you

Like the sun breaking through the clouds, is your bright smiling face and your quick Witt too

April 13th at 12:02 , I want you to know, so I will say

To the end of time will forever be our special time and day

Out of all the words in the world I could choose, I only need two

These words are straight from my heart, these words are THANK YOU

If all you ever wanted was to be a good mom

You can rest easy mom, job well done

Although it crushes me to see you in pain

I hear those words you taught me again

This too shall pass……

but it will never be the same……

I can promise you Mom, we will all be fine, you taught us how to be strong

So don’t you worry, and don’t be afraid to take your journey back home
