Dear Shirley, Roy, Herbert, Lynn, John and Sharon, Please accept my sincere condolences of the passing of Stevie. While I haven't seen him in some time, John has kept me up to date with his unfortunate health issues. Losing a son, and youngest sibling is difficult. I don't know how old I was but we lived in Virginia. Honeysuckles grew along a fence that was behind or near our house. I think we could go through the fence to get to school. Anyway, my dad showed me that you could suck on honeysuckles and that they were sweet. My strongest memory is when he came home from a cruise and we were all so happy. Another ship had been attacked and everyone was so relieved that my dad and his shipmates were safe.

Story shared: My first memory of Dad...

My first memory of dad was when I was about 2 years old. We were living in Key West Florida. I can remember dad taking me for a ride on his Honda 90 motorcycle. I sat in front of dad as we rode around the neighborhood. We must have been going very slowly, but to me it felt like we were really cruising along. The memory is actually very strong. I was happy.
