Obituary for Vance M. D'Arcangelo
Vance M. D’Arcangelo, 69, of Clinton and formerly of Mendon, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home, with his family at his side.
He leaves his loving wife, Sally D. (Davis) D’Arcangelo; his beloved daughters, Bridgette A. D’Arcangelo, of Clinton, Nicole M. D’Arcangelo, of Maryland, and Annette H. Holmgren and her husband Adam, of New York City; his grandchildren, Alexander, Arabella, and Aiden Holmgren; his siblings, Mark A. D’Arcangelo and his wife Denise, Russell D’Arcangelo and his wife Jeanie, Trisha D’Arcangelo and her wife, Michelle Beam, and Lisa D’Arcangelo, of Maine; his brother-in-law, Erastus Corning Davis, and his son, Mitchell Davis; many loving nieces and nephews; and countless cousins. Vance was predeceased by his parents, the late Peter A. D’Arcangelo and Hazeltine T. (Duval) D’Arcangelo.
Born in Milford, raised in Mendon; he graduated from Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton and later received his certificate in electronics from Franklin Institute in Boston. He began his career at Ma-Com in Burlington, starting as a technician and later becoming a systems engineer. Vance also worked at Lockheed Martin Corporation, Integrated Microwave Technologies, and Visilink.
In his free time, he was an avid golfer, enjoyed flyfishing, making his own golf clubs, and traveling, especially his fishing trip to Montana with the late Richie Miller, and golfing trips to Ft. Myers, FL with his friend, Joe Kelly. Vance was a quiet, kind man, who was devoted to his family and friends. On the golf course, he was known for wearing bright neon shirts, which he said he had to wear because his wife Sally bought them for him, but his golf friends said they were used for distraction! He was an excellent cook and loved to make extravagant Italian meals for his family and friends, and especially enjoyed making braciole. Vance also happened to be quite handy, making props for his daughter’s dance competitions, and tending to household repairs and renovations.
Vance’s family would like to thank the administrative and nursing staff of Rose Monahan Hospice, for their loving care of Vance.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the D’Arcangelo’s between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 at the Pakachoag Church, 203 Pakachoag St., Auburn, MA, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:30. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
