North Chatham- Robert Arthur Ullstrom, Sr. 85, of North Chatham, formerly of Auburn, and Fort Pierce FL, died Tuesday in Cape Cod Hospital after a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of 60 years Betty Lois (Campbell) Ullstrom, and two children; Robert A. Ullstrom, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Merrimack, NH, and Nancy Drake, and he husband Brian of North Eastham. He also leaves 3 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren.

He was born in Worcester. He was the son of the late Arthur E. and Clara M. (Larson) Ullstrom. He was educated in Worcester schools, he attended Commerce High.

He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII from 1942 – 1945.

Upon returning from the Coast Guard, he worked for PepsiCo and the Norton Co. for many years, in various positions, retiring in 1982 after 30 years of service. He resided in Auburn for 43 years and in Fort Pierce, FL for 16 years.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn for over 43 years, and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Ft. Pierce FL, for 15 years.

Mr. Ullstrom enjoyed art and painting, music and singing in the choir at Bethel Lutheran church.

Funeral services for Robert will be held Saturday January 17th at 11:00 AM in Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Ave, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
