Obituary for Eileen B. Robichaud (Robinson)
Eileen B. (Robinson) Robichaud, 89, longtime Auburn resident, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, with her loving children by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Raymond J. Robichaud, Sr., who passed in September of 2009.
She leaves her children: Doreen A. Cedrone and her husband Richard, of Uxbridge, Raymond Robichaud, Jr. and his wife Pamela, of Rochdale, and niece Linda A. Poitras, of Auburn, who she considered a second daughter; her grandchildren: Raymond Robichaud and his wife Jill, of Auburn, Tara and Christopher Clark, of Leicester, Samantha and Michael Plourd, of Sturbridge, Kyle and Jenn Robichaud, of North Brookfield, and Brianna Robichaud, of Rochdale; ten great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Claire Connor, of Worcester; two Godsons, David Robinson and John Connor; and several nieces and nephews. Other members of the family include two step-grandchildren, Richard and Christopher Cedrone; lifelong family friend, Beverly Pope and her family; and longtime coworkers, Lee Beardsley and Jane Hanley. Along with her husband, Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Dora (Malboeuf) Robinson; and her siblings: Rita Jalbert, Joseph Robinson, and Eleanor Robinson.
She was born and raised in Worcester, graduating from South High School in 1949. After graduating, Eileen worked for Paul Revere Insurance Company in Worcester until marrying the love of her life, Ray, in November of 1952, and settling in Auburn to start their family. She was a doting mother, beloved by her children and grandchildren alike, and was a wonderful homemaker – creating beautiful table settings and decorations around their home for every season and occasion. She later worked in the catering field for several years, ending her career as Banquet Supervisor at Sheraton Lincoln in Worcester. Eileen loved and excelled at creative writing - poems, rhymes, and creating scavenger hunts for family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, each one personalized with colors and a pattern appropriate for each loved one. She also loved dog-sitting for her cherished “granddog,” Ellie.
Eileen, also lovingly known as “Nana,” will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Robichaud family between 9:00 and 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn; her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St. N., Auburn, followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery, alongside her beloved Ray.
