Obituary for Carol Ann Boraccini (Sihlman)
Carol Ann (Sihlman) Boraccini, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side.
She leaves her beloved husband, Wayne L. Boraccini; their children, Matthew F. Boraccini and his wife Michelle, of Rutland, Patricia A. Bourgeois and her husband Derek, of Sutton, Christine M. David and her husband Richard, of Dudley, and Michael W. Boraccini, of Auburn; 11 grandchildren: Erin, Kevin, Amber, Emily, Amanda, Taylor, Jodi, Eric, Brennan, Connor, and Macy; a great-grandson, River Easton Newark; her sister, Nancy Parslow, of Auburn; and a niece and nephew.
Born, raised, and educated in Worcester, daughter of the late John O. and Margaret M. (Sheehan) Sihlman. Carol was a 1964 graduate of Commerce High School. She met and married the love of her life, Wayne, and they began their life together in Auburn. Carol was a homemaker for the first fifteen years, then entered the workforce as an Administrative Assistant for IDS/Financial Services in Auburn and Worcester. She had a lengthy career of over 20 years, before retiring in 2019.
Carol loved spending time with her family, especially at their beach house in Westerly, Rhode Island.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org/?form=donate-fru) in Carol’s name.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family between 4:00 and 7:00 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery.
