Obituary for Marilyn J. Reynolds (Chase)

Marilyn June Reynolds, 74, of Auburn, Massachusetts passed unexpectedly on May 5th, 2021.

She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, George Reynolds Jr., their daughters, Melinda Beaudette and Laurie Ward, her five beloved grandchildren, Alison, Lucas, Jake, Makenzie, and Sam and one great-grandson, Grayson. She is survived by her mother and best friend, Phyllis Chase, her brother Barry Chase, his wife Betsy, her sister Bonnie Clark and her husband Steve. She also leaves many beloved extended family members, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. She is predeceased by her father, Robert Chase, her brother Thomas Chase and her sister, Linda Chase.

Marilyn was a 1964 graduate of South High School in Worcester, Massachusetts where she met her husband, George. She worked as a Surgical Technician before becoming a Mom. She loved walking the beach, antiquing, working on her garden and watching her grandchildren grow. She looked forward to her favorite trip to Wells, Maine with her daughters and grandchildren every summer as well as weekly visits to Northside Village Antiques for tea with her family on Saturday mornings. Marilyn was the light of her family’s life. She was a wonderful wife, sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her heart was huge and her generosity and love knew no bounds. She always put others before herself, ensuring they were safe and taken care of. Her absence leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. We miss her so much already.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for you to please hold your loved ones tight, never take life for granted and appreciate every moment you have together. Marilyn’s burial will be private but a Celebration of Life open to friends and family will be held in the near future.
