Obituary for John M. Annese

John M.  Annese
John M. Annese 72, longtime Auburn resident died on Saturday January 12, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Waltham, son of the late Matteo and Mary (DeStefano) Annese and attended Watertown High School. John enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served his country during the Vietnam Era and later served in the Army reserve for eight years.

John had worked for the past twenty-five years as a Car salesman for many dealerships in the Worcester area before he retired. Previously he worked for the State of Massachusetts in the maintenance Dept for the Massachusetts Turnpike for nine years.

John leaves his loving wife of 45 years, Kathleen T. (Campers) Annese; two daughters, Michelle L. Annese and her fiancée Matthew Power of Worcester and Marie D. Annese of East Brookfield; his three siblings, Angela Vallarand of Waltham, Michael Annese of Watertown and Mary McHugh of Newton; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two siblings, Larry and Virginia.

When John was not working you could find him very happy with a fishing pole in his hand at a local body of water. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends vacationing in Maine and the Cape.

Family and friends are invited to visit with John’s family on Wednesday January 16, 2019 from 4-7 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be on Thursday January 17, 2019 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will take place at late date after cremation. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or the Disabled American Charitable Service Trust at htpps://cst.dav.org.
