Elizabeth M. “Betty” (Bruneau) Stromberg, 83, of Auburn died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of the late Russell E. Stromberg with whom she cherished 22 wonderful years.

Born and raised in Worcester, Betty was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Anna (Stone) Bruneau. She graduated from Lamartine High School in Worcester.

Survived by her nieces and nephews, Laura Stanikmas and her husband Phillip of Leicester, Dwayne Landry of Leicester, Donna Marie of Leicester, Lisa Johnson and her husband Brad of Leicester, Corey Landry and his fiancé Roseanne of N. Brookfield, several great nephews and nieces and great great nephews and nieces, and her dear friends Ellen and Dave Berringer, and Pat and Ricky Pearson. Betty was predeceased by her husband Russell in 2006, and her sister Irene Landry and her dear friend Bob.

Betty did clerical work for Olson Manufacturing until her retirement in the late 90’s. In her free time. she loved volunteering with the Auburn Visiting Nurse Association and at the Auburn Senior Center and enjoyed any opportunity to travel to several places around the world.

Relatives and friends are invited visit with Betty’s family on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew of the Apostles Church, 5 Spaulding Street, Worcester, MA. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
