Obituary for Katherine L. Whitney (Dube)
Katherine Louise (Dube) Whitney, 83, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2018.
Kathy was born and raised in Worcester, attended Canterbury Street School, and later moved to Shrewsbury with her husband, Dan, to raise her family. Kathy had a dynamic, energetic personality and was perfectly suited for her career as a waitress at local diners, a Spag's employee and state worker. She loved to chat, was always happy to share her thoughts, and brought spirit and passion wherever she went. She was a loving wife and mother who valued her family and friendships.
Kathy leaves her devoted husband of 60 years, Albert Daniel, her son David (Laurie,) three daughters, Deb Schuetz (Greg,) Jean McPherson (Rich,) and Linda, and nine grandchildren, Derek, Lillian, Jacob, Daniel, Almicar, Haydn, Katherine, Matthew and Rebecca.
Kathy was predeceased by her Aunt Kitty and Uncle Tommy, her daughter, Patricia, and grandson, Devin. Her family would like to thank the nurses and VNA Hospice for their care and support.
Per Kathy's wishes there will be no services.
