Barbara J. Thomas, 75, of Quinebaug, Connecticut died after a brief illness on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA. She was the wife of the late Phillip Thomas.

Born, raised and educated in Albany, New York, Barbara was the daughter of the late Daniel and Viola (Filicoski) Brehm. Barbara began working at St. Vincent Hospital in the housekeeping department until her retirement in 2014. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed playing bingo, doing crafts, and most of all spending time with her family.

Barbara is survived by her children Barbara Pare of Oxford, Henry Hicks of Webster, Brian Hicks of Worcester, Holly Hicks of Webster, her brother Daniel Brehm of Stillwater, New York, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephew and also a large family of friends. She was predeceased by her children Denise Helnarski and Thomas Hicks.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours for Barbara on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4:00 till 7:00 PM in the Chapel of the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. At Barbara’s request services and burial will be held in private.
