Obituary for Wayne R "Luke" Stone
Wayne R. Stone, 72, of Wareham former longtime resident of Shrewsbury died Friday March 23, 2018 in his home in Wareham surrounded by his loving family.
Wayne was born in Northampton, Ma son of the late Milton and Mercedes (Fiske) Stone. He attended Amherst High School and later entered into the United States Navy serving his country proudly.
He had worked many years as a truck driver for Holden Sand & Gravel, Boston Beef and he retired from E.L. Harvey & Sons of Westborough.
Wayne loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and playing cards with his friends. He was a former member of the American Legion Post # 234 in Northborough.
He leaves his wife if 41 years, Elizabeth “Teri” Stone of Wareham; his five children, Tammy L. DeAndrade of Brockton, Theresa Onorato of Plymouth, Ronald Pasic and his wife Andrea of McDonald, PA, Michael Pasic and his wife Jennifer of Cotuit and James Cloutier and his wife Janet of Oxford; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; his siblings; Penny Staniunas of Northborough, Milton Stone of Florida, Gay Cortright of Florida and Clayton Burrows of Maine.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Wayne’s family on Friday May 4, 2018 from 9:30-11:30 AM in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury a service of Remembrance will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial with military honors will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 434 Route 134 Suite D-3, South Dennis, MA 02660.
