Robert J Pickett Jr.
Robert Joseph Pickett, Jr., 84, died Thursday, March 22, 2018.

He was the son of Robert and Edna (Courville) Pickett. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen (McNamara) Pickett, and son Daniel Pickett. He is survived by seven children, Sharon Pickett McCormick of Northborough, Eileen Alexandrov of Worcester, Robert Pickett of California, Michael Pickett and wife Terri of Worcester, Christine Sliney and husband Steven of Brewster, Kathleen Apicelli and husband Keith of East Lyme, Connecticut, and Stephen Pickett of Worcester. He also leaves 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and long-time companion Joan Weldon.

Bob’s accomplishments include forty-five years of employment as a lineman for (then) Mass Electric, past presidency of the Worcester Ostomy Association, lifetime membership to the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO), membership to the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame and serving as a football official for the Eastern College Atlantic Conference and Central Massachusetts Athletic Conference. He served in the Massachusetts National Guard for seven years.

Bob leaves many longtime friends who provided good humor and caring spirits to him and his family. He created many fond memories with family and friends at Wakeda Campground and the beaches of New Hampshire.

Dad: May your up always be filled with the nectar of the gods, and may it always be 2pm (which is, of course, ice cream time).
