Obituary for William F Bruso

William F  Bruso
William F. Bruso, 86 of Auburn died Thursday February 22,2018 at home.

He was born in Worcester MA the son of the late Fred Willard Bruso and Mary E. (Connors) Bruso. Bill graduated from North High School then enlisted and served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean war.

After graduating from Clark University and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University, Bill held various positions within Worcester County National Bank from 1952 to 1975. Bill also worked for Bay Bank, managing their Trust department and starting their brokerage company. He served as Chairman of the Budget Committee for The United Way of Worcester, President of Worcester & Waltham VNA, President of the Worcester Rotary Club and Chairman of both Waltham-Weston Hospital and Becker College where he received an Honorary degree. Bill was a member of the Worcester Club and Worcester Country Club.

He leaves his beloved wife Margaret E. (Jones) Bruso, his sons William F. Bruso Jr., Mark Bruso and Brian Bruso and his wife Lynn, His daughters Linda Bruso and Leigh Robbins and her husband Todd. Grandchildren Tara Leigh, Andrew, Randi-Lynn, Megan, Christine, Ronald, Mark, Tynan, Maggie, Jacqui and Wesley as well as 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invite to visit with Bill’s family on Wednesday February 28, 2018 from 10:00-11:30 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A service celebration his life will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central MA Hospice, 191 Pakachoag Street, Auburn, MA 01501.
