Obituary for William B Winkelmann

William B  Winkelmann
William B. “Bill” Winkelmann, 61 of Oxford formerly of Auburn died Friday January 26, 2018 in the Life Care Center of Auburn surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn son of the late Elizabeth J. (Gates) Winkelmann. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1975 and was a member of the State Champion Hockey Team in 1973.

Bill had worked for Worcester Mobile Lock and Key for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and was a lifelong Bruins fan.

Bill leaves behind his father, Ronald P. Winkelmann, Sr., and his wife Helen; three brothers, Ronald P. Winkelmann, Jr., Steven R. Winkelman, Carl E. Winkelmann and his wife Amy; two sisters, Cynthia A. Lebel and her husband Roger, and Diane M. Paradis and her husband Kenneth; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Winkelmann family would like to extend their gratitude to Carrie Cross-Tiraboschi and the staff at Life Care of Auburn for their compassionate care that was given to Bill during the past few years of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bill’s family on Tuesday January 30, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the family lot in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Auburn Hockey Alumni, c/o Auburn High School, 99 Auburn, St, Auburn, MA 01501.
