Obituary for Harry C Curtis Jr.

Harry C. Curtis, Jr., 90, of Auburn died Wednesday January 24, 2018 in Saint Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Worcester son of the late Harry Curtis, Sr., and Anna (Maciejewski) Curtis. Harry graduated from St. John’s High School, later attended Becker Junior College and graduated from Holy Cross College all in Worcester. Harry served his country proudly with the United States Navy during W.W. II.

Harry started his professional working career as a purchasing agent for Saint Vincent Hospital. He held many positions during his 35 years tenure, retiring as a Vice President.

He leaves his wife of 67 years, Irene M. (Klocek)) Curtis; three sons, Daniel Curtis and his wife Kathleen of Millbury, Gregory Curtis and his wife Kathi of Spencer, Michael Curtis and his wife Annmarie of Worcester; a daughter Karen Stewart and her husband Kevin of Worcester; also survived by fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. His son David predeceased him in 1951.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Harry’s family on Sunday January 28, 2018 from 2-5 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday January 29, 2018 in North American Martyrs’ Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will follow in Saint John Cemetery, Worcester.
