Obituary for Usha Chojar (Chopra)
Usha Chojar, 75, passed away on January 1 2018 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester after struggling with pneumonia and complications from it. Usha leaves her son, Sandeep of Shrewsbury MA and daughter Vandana from Burr Ridge IL, three grandchildren, two sisters, nieces and nephews.
Usha was born in India, the oldest daughter of Tilak Raj Chopra and Raj Kumari Chopra. Usha moved to the US in 1986 with her husband and daughter and over the years lived in California, Illinois and Massachusetts.
Usha loved her family more than anything else. It was the most important thing to her. She loved to talk with and share family joys and sorrows with them. She was a progressive at heart with amazing wit. She loved to play scrabble and would still enjoy a game or two, often winning those games.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Usha’s family on Friday January 5 2018 at the Rural Cemetery & Crematorium, 180 Grove Street, Worcester, MA from 12:30 - 2:30 pm. Usha was never one for lavish gatherings, so a small service along with a puja will be held at the Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made at the Varun Mark Bahl Memorial Fund on gofundme.com. It was a cause very dear to her heart and in memory of Usha’s grandson who passed away in 2015 and who is with her now.
