Obituary for Dennis A "Duke" Diguette
Dennis A. “Duke” Diguette, 72, of Rochdale formerly of Millbury died July 4, 2017 surrounded by his loving family after an illness.
Dennis was born in Worcester son of the late Gerald and Florence (Cook) Diguette. He graduated from North High School and continued his education at Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.
He had worked as a mechanical engineer for over 17 years at Berlin Corporation in Shrewsbury before retiring.
He leaves his wife and best friend of 50 years, Carol A. (Perreault) Diguette; a son, Christopher D. Diguette and his wife Kristin of Auburn, two daughters, Melissa M. Diguette of Rochdale and Michelle L. Fitzhenry and her husband Robert of Durham, NH; seven grandchildren, Connor, Sean, Maggie, Alexi, Chloe, Pyper and Zoe; a brother, Thomas Diguette of California and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Diguette of TN.
Dennis coached youth soccer in Millbury for many years. He also was a true New England Sports fan.
Mr. Diguette’s family would like to thank the staff at Shrewsbury Nursing Home for the care and support they have provided both Dennis and his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dennis’s family on Tuesday July 11, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral Mass will follow and be celebrated at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dennis’s name may be made to A Ride to Remember, http://act.alz.org/goto/michaelbeauchemin.
