I was sorry to read about John's passing. I didn't know him well - only for seeing him a few times over at your home. But from what Jan has told be and the obituary article, he was quite an exceptional man. Irene Waited 13 years for him to join her. He knew when to call it quits with pressure from Irene - I'm sure. He had a good run at 93 and I'm sure all of you are proud of him.

So sorry to hear about Uncle John's passing. I have so many childhood memories of him. I sincerely hope that all of your memories will help you through this difficult time. I am so saddened to learn of the passing of your father. John was such a special man and a wonderful neighbor and friend to me for the past forty eight years. His deep love of family, delightful sense of humor, and endless creative talents set him apart as an outstanding human being. I will truly miss his many holiday and birthday cards and wishes with his enjoyable and interesting notes. As you know, I am now in Florida but sincerely wish that I was home in order to share this sadness, loss, and grief with all of you. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you stoically face this difficult time. John will never be forgotten and every memory will bring a smile to my face. A life well lived! Condolence: Very saddened to hear of John's passing. I've only known him for a short time, I drove him to the Marlborough Senior Center on Tuesdays for lunch and scrabble. He was just a delight to talk to, a true gentleman.....he will be missed!
