Condolences

Condolence From: Gibbs Mitchell
Condolence: I knew John during the latter part of his life. I played many enjoyable rounds of golf with him at the Westborough Country Club during the Wednesday morning senior golf outings. It was there that I was sad to read of his passing from his obituary that someone had thoughtfully posted in the pro shop. Us golfers tend to be rather unhappy when we miss a shot. John played the game well, but I always will remember the short, almost like a cackle, laugh he would let out when he hit an errant shot John and I also shared an interest in genealogy often discussing it on the course and we sometimes met in Shrewsbury at informal genealogy club that George Brown ran out of the library. I still remember our conversations about efforts to find some of his elusive Frenc-Canadian ancestors. John and I were also both democrats which made us a distinct minority among our golfing buddies, and we frequently talked politics on the course; something I greatly miss. I think his wife had already passed when I first met John but he frequently spoke of his three daughters. Although I did not know any of you it was clear to me that he loved and admired all of you greatly. He was not only a gentleman, kind and considerate of others, but fun to be arround. He gave up golf over the last 4 or 5 years so we lost contact. I miss him an will miss him even more now that he is gone. Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your father, a man I liked and admire. Sincerely, Gibbs Mitchell

Condolence From: Elaine and John Moloney
Condolence: We are thinking of your family as you say good-bye to your Dad. Whether we got to chat with him at one of your gatherings or we heard about him as we all watched our parents age, we knew he was a special kind of Dad and Grandfather. You were all blessed to have had him in your lives, and he was equally blessed to have had such a wonderful family. May your memories of your Dad comfort you all.
