Annette D. "Netty"  Lindstrom
AUBURN- Annette D. “Netty” (Dio) Lindstrom, 59, a resident of Auburn for 35 years died peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Annette was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank J. and Marie E. (Byrne) Dio. She graduated from Holy Name High School in 1974. She then entered into the Nursing Program at Quinsigamond Community College and graduated with the Class of 1976. She had worked as a Registered Nurse in the CCU at UMASS Memorial Medical Center for 27 years. During those years, she also was instrumental in teaching Advanced Cardiac Life Support to other support staff.

She was a faithful member of Saint Thomas Episcopal Church in Auburn where she was a member of the choir, the vestry and served as senior warden of the church. Annette loved traveling and vacationing in the coastal towns of York and Ogunquit, Maine; she also spent time on the beaches of Key West and enjoyed skiing with her family at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire.

She leaves her best friend of 41 years and husband of 35 years, David Lindstrom; her children, Brian Lindstom and his partner, Angela Smith of Auburn, Daniel Lindstrom and his wife, Rabia of Marlborough and Andrew Lindstrom and his wife, Sydney of Southborough; her siblings, Robert Dio and his wife, Marie; Mary Dio ;Gerard Dio and his wife, Joan all of Worcester and Judy Wentzell and her husband, Stephen of Shrewsbury; also survived by many nieces and nephews and a sister and brother-in-law, Terry and John Taillefer of Auburn.

The Lindstrom family wished to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their family and to the Nurses of the CCU and SICU at UMASS who helped the family with overnight coverage for the care of their friend Annette.


Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Annette’s family on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2-5 PM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A funeral service celebrating her life will be on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Saint Thomas Episcopal Church, 35 School St, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
