AUBURN/S.DENNIS- Jeanne Miller, 85, of South Dennis, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Brookdale Eddy Pond West in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Barre, MA daughter of the late John F. and Emma (Trudell) Miller. She graduated from Barre High School, she then continued her education at Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing and later while in New York she received a B.A. Degree in Economics from Fordham University.

Jeanne had worked for many years as the Director of the Blood Donor Program for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital in NYC until her retirement in 1989. During her retirement years, she went back to work for three years as a consultant for Fenwal, a global blood technology company.

She then moved to South Dennis and became an active member of that community and proud communicant and Sacristan of Our Lady of the Cape Parish. The Dioceses of Fall River recognized Jeanne with the Marian Medal for her unselfish and dedicated service to her parish.

Jeanne leaves her siblings, Joyce Berlo of Barre, Ann Pitzen and her husband, Dale of Rochdale and Elaine Hardy and her husband, David of Evergreen, CO; brother-in-law, John Mulqueen of Hubbardston ;sister-in-law, Estelle Miller of Brewster; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John H. Miller; a sister, Janet Mulqueen and brother-in-law, John Berlo.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a prayer service celebrating Jeanne’s life on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 12 NOON in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 30, 2015 at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Cape Church, in Brewster burial will follow on that day. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
