Janice L. (Spreadbury) Lovejoy, 65, of Westborough died September 13, 2015 in her home.

She leaves behind her brother, Kevin J. Spreadbury and his wife, Mary of Worcester; a niece, Katy A. Spreadbury of Manhattan, NY; a nephew Christopher K. Spreadbury of Worcester; three aunts, Theresa Lada of Webster, Marion Antkowiak of Dudley and Pauline Aucoine of Dudley. She was predeceased by an uncle, Joseph Falso and an aunt, Nancy Streich.

Janice was born in Webster, daughter of the late Walter G. and Isabel J. (Falso) Spreadbury. When Janice was a teenager she studied in Spain; graduating from the Universida deNavarra in 1967. When she returned back to the U.S, she attended and graduated with B.A Degree in Secondary Education from the University of New Hampshire and received her M.Ed. in Language Arts from Worcester State College.
Janice had a passion for learning; she continued that passion by attaining her Executive M.B.A. from Anna Maria College and then in 1989 a M.Ed. in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University. She was a candidate for her Ph.D. at the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University.

Janice’s spent most of her life working as a Therapist and Counselor, helping many people deal and cope with life issues. She worked at several places throughout her career including, The Home for Little Wanderers in Boston, Y.O.U. Inc. in Worcester; several Juvenile Programs and later working at Island Counseling Center in Worcester for the past year. Janice was always true and dedicated to her work.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Janice’s life on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at a funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury.
