Mary E. “Bunny” (Merigan) Lexner, 68, of Auburn, formerly of Easton died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in the Life Care Center of Auburn surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Debra Roy and her husband, Robert of Auburn and her son, William Lexner and his wife, Maureen of Bellingham; three grandchildren, Ryan and Daniel Roy and Michael Lexner; two sisters, Carolyn Conway and her husband, Roger of Mansfield, MA and Joanne Smith of Alabama; a brother, Brian Merigan of West Roxbury; in –law, Millie Merigan of Wrentham; several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews; and her long-time close friend, James McCarthy of Easton.

Mary was born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Salisbury) Merigan. She graduated from Dorchester High School.

Mary had worked for many years as a manager at several retail stores in the area including Bradlees’s and Decelle’s before she retired.

Her hobbies included country line dancing, sewing, cruising and going to the beach.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mary’s family on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 1-4 PM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A service honoring Mary’s life will be on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, (www.alz.org).
