Obituary for John P Orbon
John P. Orbon, 83, of Auburn, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 41years, Linda M. (Rossel) Orbon; two nephews and one niece; he was predeceased by a brother, David N. Orbon; two half-brothers and two half-sisters.
He was born in New York, New York, son of the late John and Marie (LaGresse) Orbon. He graduated from High School in New York. After high school he entered the United States Air Force where he served his country honorably.
John had worked in New York City as a cab driver for several years before he moved to the Worcester area where he worked at the former Quality Seafood and most recently for Shaw’s Supermarket in Auburn.
He enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends, watching his beloved New York sports teams and playing with his dogs, Nakita and Tara.
Friends and family are invited to visit with John’s family on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 10:30- 11:30 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn, a prayer service will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial with military honors will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the VNA of Southern Worcester County, 191 Pakachoag Street, Worcester, MA 01501.
